Aptic receives ISO 27001 certificate

Stockholm, May 25, 2022

Aptic recently received the ISO/IEC 27001 certificate. This is the international standard for managing risks related to the security of information and data your organisation holds.

The standard ensures that customer and employee data is stored securely and complies with legal requirements such as GDPR. It adopts a process-based approach for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, maintaining, and improving your information security management system (ISMS). Receiving the ISO/IEC 27001 certificate proves that Aptic meets the highest international (data) security standards set by the certification.

“The journey towards the ISO 27001 certification has strengthened Aptic as a company. It has improved our processes and helped us demonstrate good security practices. I am proud to say we now have established a good security culture in Aptic”, says Ingi Jonasson, CIO at Aptic.

To obtain the certification, an organisation must complete a strict auditing protocol and demonstrate its systematic and consistent approach to managing sensitive customer and company information.

“Having the certificate will strengthen Aptic’s position in the market, and considering the security situation in the world, it is more important than ever to have these processes in place within the company. It also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to protecting our clients’ and our companies’ data. Moreover, this process involved the efforts and contributions of employees throughout the entire organisation. We are very proud to say that today, awareness of security and data protection is not limited to a single department but is ingrained in our corporate culture”, says Knut Eirik Storsul, CEO at Aptic.
